Arizona - Highway 93 from Hoover Dam to Wickenberg

In August of 2006 while temperatures soared to 107 at Hoover Dam we opted to travel east along Highway 93 rather than swelter at the dam (we both have toured it previously). To keep our van from overheating, we turned the A/C off & hoped for the best on this lonely stretch of highway (about 400 miles) heading toward Phoenix. We were happy to expeience a wonderful desert storm, a cool van & a beautiful rainbow - not to mention the wonderful desert landscape that is Arizona.
